ABOUT US

Aage Bjørn Andersen is a Naval Architect with extensive Research and Development experience within the water and energy segment in particular. He is an entrepreneur and the founder of OceanSaver, MossHydro as well as Mentum – the R&D resource of InBallast.
Aage Bjørn was responsible for developing DNV GL’s environmental services back in the day with focus on emissions to air, ship recycling in addition to ballast water management. He has been on the present on the Ballast Water Management stage since 1996.
He is well acquainted with the shipping industry, the way it is regulated and operated and understands the required interactions between all stakeholders including regulators/ class, owner/ operator as well as supplier.

Andreas Cappelen is an experienced regulator with degrees in mechanical construction and water/wastewater treatment. He has worked 4 years type approving ballast water management systems for industry leaders DNV GL /Norwegian flag and USCG, approving 10 commercial ballast treatment systems and being involved with 20+ manufacturers.
Andreas has also been an approval engineer for installations of ballast water treatment systems on DNV GL classed ships.

Dr. Jason Dale - is a Mechanical Engineer with comprehensive Research and Development experience including laboratory work and testing from the waste water/ water engineering sector in particular. He has worked with ballast water management issues primarily since 2005 and was one of the founders of MossHydro and Radical Filtration. Jason has an in-depth understanding of the technologies applied in ballast water treatment and also the operational and regulative frameworks to which these must comply.
Jason’s areas of expertise include both engineering and analytical work. He has comprehensive project experience involving CFD, FEA, 3D CAE and prototyping including prototype industrialization.
Einar Fraas is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with vast experience from testing, operations trouble-shooting as well as from development. For the last 10 years, he has been responsible for our seawater test facility and planned and undertaken numerous tests including corrosion and material test as well as prototype performance testing of a broad range of technologies.
Einar has site management experience and has been responsible for shipboard commissioning exercises for Oceansaver.

Terje Paulsen is a Mechanical Engineer with broad mechanical/ structural and associated engineering experience covering; 3D modelling and design, Finite Element Analysis, general CAD and rapid prototyping.
Terje has been a development engineer for OceanSaver with responsibilities also covering project support within the ballast water technology industry since 2011.
